Since its establishment in 1990, the school has been progressing by leaps and bounds. In early nineties the school had small catchment area covering Lal Bazaar, Zakura, Hazratbal, Gulab Bagh, Buchpora and other adjacent villages.  Years passed by and the school began to gain reputation in the entire valley when the first batch of class 10 performed brilliantly in the Board Exams in 1998.  The school bagged two positions and good number of distinctions.  Now people began to come from every nook and corner of the valley for admissions.

Every year in the month of September we start issuing Registration Forms to the Nursery students.  However, the Admission Forms are issued only after the selection list is published in any of the local dailies.  The selection criteria, which keeps on changing every year, is decided by the Selection Committee.  Admissions in higher classes are done on the basis of performance of students in the written test conducted by the school soon after the Term II, Examination.  However, admissions in these classes are made against the seats available in a particular class.
